The Mclaren P1 is a plug-in hybrid sports car produced by Mclaren Automotive company.The Mclaren P1 has 727 horsepower and is powered by a 3.8L twin turbo V8 engine. They also added a 176 horsepower powered ECU motor. Altogether, the P1 makes 903 on the rear-wheels with a 7-speed Dual clutch transmission. The Mclaren P1 was designed by Frank Stephenson and Robert Melville. The batteries can be topped-up in only 2 hours. The P1 can exclusively run on electric power at up to 99 mph and has a 6.5-mile range. The P1's body is made of Carbon fibre. The windscreen is thinner and weighs 3.5 KG less than the Mclaren 12C's. Each seat weigh 10.5Kg. The P1's suspension is based on the 12C’s system but with added hydraulic controller that allows adjustment of height and adjusts vertical stiffness.
