This is any petrolhead’s dream, isn’t it? A V12 is already quite a rare sight nowadays, so imagine it coupled with a proper manual gearbox that makes click-click every time you shift gears. Heaven, here we are. So, this is the Ferrari 550 Maranello, and it came out at a time when DSG's, PDK's or other F1 gearboxes were inexistent. Unlike the 575M and its optional F1 gearbox that came out as a refreshment, the 550 had a gear knob that will probably help it to become a future classic. Also, being now more than 20 years old, the Maranello has reached the age of reason, and with prices that aren’t too far-fetched, could this be the right moment to buy one?
